هناك شخص في الخارج.

وتأتي بمعنى خاصتهم، أو تعود لهم.
عندما تقول مثلا : This book is my book
يمكنك استبدال هذه الجملة بـ: This book is mine.
بمعنى “هذا الكتاب لي”
أيضا يمكنك استخدام theirs نفس الاستخدام ولكن مع الآخرين في الجمع
This car is their car = This car is theirs.
يمعنى هذه السيارة خاصتهم، أو تعود لهم.
